AT&T just recently selling the new AT&T LG Encore all-touch phone, targeting mainstream users looking for an affordable touchscreen phone. The AT&T LG Encore offers a 3-inch touchscreen with a 240 by 400 pixels resolution, 3-megapixel camera with video recording, and a microSD memory card slot supporting up to 16GB cards. The Encore's homescreen can also be customized.
The AT&T LG Encore, the company's latest touch screen feature phone, offers plenty of multimedia features in a pleasingly small form factor. The Encore measures 4.2 by 2.1 by 0.5 inches (HWD) and weighs 3.7 ounces. It's small and svelte for a touch screen device, even when parked next to an iPhone 4 or Samsung Captivate. Despite the tiny size, the Encore includes a 3-inch plastic resistive touch screen with 240-by-400-pixel resolution. AT&T calls the Encore a world phone, though that's only partially true. Calls sounded fine through an Aliph Jawbone Icon) Bluetooth headset. The side-mounted microSD card slot accepts 16GB cards; my SanDisk card worked fine. The video player stumbled on 320-by-240-pixel files that give similar Samsung phones no trouble..
