How To Transfer Your Ownership Of
ATT Uverse Account – When you must move to another city or country and don’t
want to use ATT Uverse service you get option to transfer ownership of your
ATT Uverse service account to another person.
To transfer ownership of ATT Uverse service account can proceed via online, the person taking over financial responsibility need to contact ATT at 1-800-288-2020 to complete the transfer of ATT Uverse service account.
Steps for the Current Account Holder
As the current account holder, you will need to:
- Verify your information.
- Select: I am the current Uverse
customer and I would like to transfer financial responsibility.
- Enter your ATT Primary Member ID
and Password
and then click Submit. This is the same login used when you pay
your bill online.
- Review the Account Information
to verify that it is completely correct.
- Create a 4-digit PIN.
The PIN will be used by the person you wish to take over financial responsibility for your Uverse account when they contact ATT to complete the process. - Check the
box next to: I agree to the Legal Terms and Conditions.
You may click the link to view the complete Legal Terms and Conditions online. - Select Submit.
You must provide the 4-digit PIN you created and your Uverse
account number to the person taking over financial responsibility of your
account.
Steps for the New Customer
- Verify your information.
- Select: I would like to
accept financial responsibility for this existing Uverse account.
- Enter the
following information:
- The
U-verse account number
- The zip
code where the service is installed
- Your first
name
- Your last
name
- Your email
address
- Enter the
passphrase displayed in the box at the bottom of the page.
- Click the Submit
button.
- Review the
Account Information and Service Address to verify that they are completely
correct.
- Check the
box next to: I agree to the Uverse Terms of Service and E911 Acknowledgement Form.
- Click the Submit
button.
- Contact
customer care at 1-800-288-2020 to finalize the transfer.
You will need to provide them the U-verse account number and the 4-digit PIN given to you by the existing account holder.
